Building on 26 years of patient care in Calgary, I am excited to announce a new chapter in my professional career; the opening of VIA Dental Care — a new dental practice coming to SW Calgary in late fall 2026.
Thank you. Truly. Your trust and loyalty over more than two decades have been the great privilege of my professional life, and the relationships we have built are the very foundation on which this new practice stands.

Our New Dental Office Address Is Official!
We’re thrilled to announce that VIA Dental Care now has an address! What started as an idea and a vision now has a real, concrete (literally!) foundation to build our dream on.
Our new dental office will be located on the ground floor at 5 Richard Way SW, Suite 100, in the Lincoln Park Centre — the same building that’s home to the Orbit Eye Centre.
Easy to Get To, However You Travel
Getting to your new favourite dental office will be a breeze:
- Directly off Glenmore Trail and Richard Way
- Just as easily reached from Crowchild Trail and 50th Street SW
- A quick navigate from 37th Street (Google Maps will get you there in no time!)
- Connected to Stoney Trail, making it simple to reach us from more remote and outlying areas of the city
- Taking transit? The MAX SW BRT Station is just down the road from our new home

Dr. David Cichon, DDS
Born and raised in Calgary, Dr. David Cichon has been passionate about dentistry and patient care for more than two decades. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from St. Francis Xavier University in 1994, followed by his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Toronto in 1998. Dr. Cichon went on to complete a post-graduate residency in general and hospital-based dentistry at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, gaining valuable experience treating complex and medically compromised patients.
After returning home to Calgary, Dr. Cichon practiced at the Foothills Medical Centre until 2004 before transitioning to full-time private practice, where he continues to enjoy caring for patients of all ages. He has a strong interest in dental anaesthesia and has completed extensive post-graduate training in conscious sedation, acupuncture, and dental sleep medicine, including a mini-residency at the University of the Pacific in San Francisco. His clinical interests also include implant dentistry, dental surgery, geriatric care, cosmetics, and the management of TMJ and bite-related concerns. Dr. Cichon is a proud graduate of the renowned L.D. Pankey Institute, reflecting his commitment to comprehensive, patient-centered care.
A former athlete and passionate supporter of active lifestyles, Dr. Cichon founded Victory Mouthguards, dedicated to sports dentistry and injury prevention. Outside the office, Dave is happily married and the proud father of six. He is actively involved in his church and community and loves spending time outdoors with his family—fishing, hunting, and helping at the family ranch, Wells’ Crossing Cattle Company in Alberta.
